I wish I would have found this website the last time I purchased a plan. BestHealthQuotes.com uses the very best companies in Illinois and they offer a huge choice of plan designs along with first class assistance when trying to choose the right policy for my needs. All I can say is, great job!

Mickey B. Rockford, IL.
Buying health insurance used to always be time consuming and a real headache for me, until now. Jack directed me to a very comprehensive HSA plan at a very reasonable premium that gave me great coverage for much less that I had expected to have to pay each month.

Kathy & Bill R. Oak Brook, IL.
I was looking for a modern HSA health plan to try to keep my premium down since I could not afford to stay on my Cobra plan and Jack helped me choose a very good HSA from Humana. It has worked out very well and I have sent several other people in as referrals since I was so happy with their help and sound advice.

Todd J. Westmont, IL.

Chicago Health Insurance

Folks that live in Chicago, Illinois have an excellent choice when it comes to available health insurance plans to choose from. With first class a-rated health insurance providers such as Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Illinois, Humana, Aetna, Assurant Health and Unicare among others, there is a complete line of fine insurance products to choose from. Chicago is also an area with the advantage of having a very good choice of medical providers in the many provider networks offered in Chicago. If your looking for the best doctors and hospitals you do not have to look any further, there right here in the windy city. One of the most popular plans designs are the very cost effective HSA (Health Savings Account) plans that are offered by all the major carriers. Health Savings Accounts offer excellent benefits with the financial benefit of lower premiums and on top of that they also offer income tax liability benefits.

The main difference between the HSA and it’s traditional PPO counterpart is the HSA does not have a doctor’s office co-pay and a co-payment for prescription drugs. When the owner of a HSA plan visits the doctor, the providers office bills the insurance company and the carrier then applies the provider network discount otherwise known as “repricing”. This repricing represents a discounted office fee and then that amount would be applied towards the plan deductible. The same goes for the prescription drugs purchases. In the past, the traditional PPO type plans would offer a doctor’s office and prescription drug copay that the insured would be paying a premium for each month if they utilized these benefits or not on a month to month basis.

Chicago health insurance plans only have one drawback, the premiums are normally a little higher than the suburban area plans. More happens in Chicago that can increase the usage of health insurance, for example, auto accidents, tranfers of bacterial and viral infections due to a more heavily populated area and other events such a falling victim to city related crime resulting in injury which would trigger the need for medical attention. Also, medical providers charge higher fees to cover their higher operating costs in the big city. Auto and homeowners insurance reflect normally higher premiums also.

All in all, health insurance in Chicago is working out well. The most important thing to do is try to keep  yourself in good health by staying away from tobacco products and keeping your weight in check. Take advantage of the great wellness benefits have and go the the doctor for a checkup at least once a year. Making an effort to stay in good physical shape will always be the best insurance policy.

If you do not have any health insurance, check out the nice plans offered in the Chicago area and protect yourself against the devastating cost of a hospital stay without health insurance coverage.
